And also yesterday evening, and through the night. But now? Life looks so much better again.
But I should start with the flights.
Cologne to Munich... nothing out of the ordinary,just the security guy at the check in asked about my Vibram Five-fingers ;-). The flight was fast, and we even got a shortcut to compensate the late arrival of the plane in Cologne. So I was there in time.
Munich to Narita... almost 11 hours. But there was a friendly Japanese guy next to me, PHD in Robotics, came back from a summerschool in Rome. And he was the one talking at me first. His englisch was quite ok, so we talked a while, then switsched to movies and tried to sleep. The movie was fine but the sleep was not very relaxing. We startet almost at nightfall but then we flew into the polar day and the next day. So basically there was allways the sun!

The flight from Narita went off a bit late due to taxiing issues, but Prof. P. picked me up and introduced me to the domitory. More about that in the next post as this made me probably age 1 year in one night.
